Kate Chadwick

M Sc.

I come from an eclectic background having spent the last 3 years working in fisheries science. However, my real research passion is the biology and ecology of whales having used stable isotope analysis to infer movement and trophic niche in four species of rorqual whale for my Masters. It is important that the research I do can be applied to real world conservation issues and as such I will be focusing my PhD work on DNA-methylation and the epigenetic effects of non-lethal ship strike and entanglement in north Atlantic right whales.
